  • 2 cups low sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup frozen peas

  • 2 ½ pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted
  • ⅓ cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

For the filling:

  • Adjust oven rack to upper-middle position and preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Heat the vegan butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 30 seconds until fully melted.
  • Add the finely chopped onion, shredded carrots, and chopped celery to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and translucent, which should take approximately 6 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and continue cooking for another 2 minutes until fragrant. Then, add the MorningStar Farms® Grillers Crumbles to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, ensuring they are thoroughly heated through and lightly browned.
  • Sprinkle the all-purpose flour over the vegetable and crumble mixture, then add the tomato paste. Cook, stirring continuously, for about 1 minute, until the paste begins to darken slightly and the flour is fully incorporated.
